Entry Requirements
International Students entering this course at AICSA must meet the following entry requirements:
Age Requirement
All international students must be at least 18 years old at the time of course application.
English Language Requirement
International students must have obtained or completed one of the following:
Have obtained an IELTS band score of at least 6.0 – or equivalent; or 5.5 where the test score is combined with at least 10 weeks ELICOS or 5.0 where the test score is combined with at least 20 weeks ELICOS.
Course Structure
The SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management comprises of 28 units of competency. AICSA have organised these units of competency in a way that is most effective for the learner and will provide them with a logical learning sequence. This results in an efficient delivery of training and assessment.
To be issued the qualification SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management a learner must be assessed as competent in all 28 units. These units of competency are comprised of 11 core and 17 elective units.

National Recognition
These competency have been drawn from the nationally recognised industry training package the Tourism, Travel and Hospitality Training Package (SIT). Upon successful completion of the training and assessment, the qualification SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management will be issued. A Record of Results (or sometimes referred to as a transcript) listing all units of competency will also be issued along with the qualification certificate. The qualification and units of competency are nationally recognised and provide individuals with a valuable qualification that can be applied throughout Australia. AICSA will issue a qualification within 30 days of the final assessment being completed.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Applicants can apply for recognition of their existing skills and knowledge that are relevant to the units of competency within the program. These skills and knowledge may have been obtained through workplace training or experience and may reduce the number of units required to be completed during the program.
Students are encouraged to notify AICSA of their interest or intention to apply for RPL prior to their enrolment. We will provide you with a pre-training review questionnaire that gathers information about your prior experience. This information is then used to determine the best pathway for you to achieve competency.
Student Information
Detailed student information is provided in our Student Handbook, which is supplied with the enrolment package. This Booklet contains important information about a student’s rights and obligations, such as their right to privacy, a safe training environment, right to complaint or appeal an assessment decision, meeting course progress requirement and maintaining appropriate student behaviour. It is important that person applying for enrolment must have had reviewed this information first.
Students are expected to bring along notebook and pen to take notes, may also bring a laptop.
Award
On fulfilling the requirements, an AQF Qualification in SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management will be issued to learners within 30 days of completion of the qualification. Learners completing units but not completing the qualification will be issued with Statement of Attainment detailing the units that have been completed successfully.
Cooling Off Period
Students are eligible to cancel their enrolment by placing a formal notice of cancellation in writing to the CEO (Letter or email) within 10 business days of enrolment, without attracting a cancellation fee, unless the student has already commenced the training.

Unique Student Identifier
Each participant enrolling in a course will need a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number to obtain their certificate or qualification when studying nationally recognised training in Australia. A USI gives you access to your online USI account which will help keep all your training records together. Certificates and Statements of Attainment cannot be issued without this number.

Complaints and Appeal Process
If student have any complaint against us, our procedures, staff, fellow students, assessments, marking or learning resources, they can obtain a complaint form from the reception and lodge their complaint formally. For more information about the complaints and appeal process etc., please refer to the learner handbook or speak to one of our staff.

Individuals can exit these qualifications with skills to work in industry as departmental, operational or small business managers.
• After achieving the SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management, students may undertake a range of Advanced Diploma level qualifications within the SIT – Tourism, Travel and Hospitality Training Package (Release 2.0) or other Training Packages and gain credit for common units of competency in those qualifications.
